Well Baby Reviews & Developmental Checks
Consultant Paediatrician & Child Health Specialist
MBBS, FRCPCH, EACVI (Cardiac Imaging & Developmental Medicine)
Our Well Baby service provides scheduled health reviews from birth through two years of age, focusing on growth, development, immunisations, and parental support. At Dr Neeraj Jain’s practice, every visit is an opportunity to ensure your baby is thriving, to address concerns early, and to equip families with practical guidance for each new milestone.
What Is a Well Baby Review?
A Well Baby Review is a comprehensive, structured health assessment designed to monitor your infant’s physical growth, neurodevelopment, nutrition, and emotional well-being. These routine appointments include measurements, developmental screening, feeding evaluation, and safety advice—all delivered in a calm, child-friendly setting.
When to Book a Well Baby Review
We recommend scheduling reviews at key ages to track and support your baby’s progress:
-
Newborn (Within 2 Weeks): Birth weight check, feeding support, jaundice assessment
-
6–8 Weeks: Weight, length and head circumference; early developmental screening and immunisations
-
4–6 Months: Introduction of solids discussion, motor milestone assessment, routine vaccines
-
9–12 Months: Babble and social engagement check, fine motor skills review, nutrition guidance
-
15–18 Months: Toddler development screen, language milestone check, safety counselling
-
2 Years: Growth milestone confirmation, behavioural and speech review, transition planning
Additional visits are encouraged if you have any feeding, sleeping, or developmental concerns at any stage.

Q: Is tilt-table testing safe for my child?A: Yes. It’s performed under close medical supervision with continuous monitoring. While it can induce fainting in controlled conditions, staff are ready to return your child to a flat position immediately and safely.
-
Q: Can my child continue to play sports?A: After evaluation, we’ll advise on safe participation. Many children with benign syncope continue sports with simple precautions. Those with exercise-induced arrhythmias may need specific restrictions until treated.
-
Q: How long does the evaluation take?A: An initial cardiology consultation lasts about 45–60 minutes. Depending on findings, diagnostic tests may be scheduled on the same day or at follow-up visits.
